Introduction
Here's one of a number of cool card tricks I'm going to share with you. Get this one down before you learn another one. Once you've mastered this one you can dive into the next one. Before you know it, people will be inviting you back for more!
Two of A Kind
The Trick:
You, as the magician, pick out two cards from the deck. You ARE the magician aren't you? Well, aren't you? Have someone in your awestruck audience cut the deck. The magician (that's you) reveals the cards that he picked, he then turns over two cards from the deck that was cut. Onlookers are amazed to discover that the cards are a perfect match and they bow down to worship the magician begging for more. Pretty cool, eh?
The Secret Sauce:
1. Shuffle the deck of cards so your skeptical subjects don't suspect foul play.
2. Explain that you are going to take two cards from the deck. Go through the deck and make sure you look at the bottom and the top cards of the deck.
3. Select a card that is the same as the bottom card. (If the bottom card is a Four of Hearts, you would pick out the Four of Diamonds to match it.) Then pick out a card that is the same as
the top card.
4. Ask someone to cut the deck anywhere they would like.
5. Take the card that was originally at the top of the deck, and turn it over.
6. Turn the entire bottom half of the deck over.
7. Reveal the cards you picked. Imagine that...they're a match!
Conclusion
Remember that there's nothing like good showmanship. Wow your audience and watch their eyes bug out in amazement. That's a great feeling isn't it? After you show this trick your friends will want another one, so you better learn some more cool card tricks for the encore.
